Supplies Needed: Natural materials found outside in your yard iPad or any device with a camera Overview: This week we celebrate EARTH DAY! We are going to use this as inspiration and make art using materials directly from the Earth! Earth Art is art that is created using natural materials such as stones, sticks, pinecones, leaves, or flowers to make art forms or sculptures. You will head outside to find natural objects that are interesting to you.
Directions: 1. Collect the objects in a central area. Be sure not to pick plants that are growing, unless you have permission from an adult. 2. Arrange the found materials in a manner that looks neat to you. Try rearranging your objects a few times to decide what you like best. 3. Take a photograph of your Earth art. It can also be fun to set up your iPad on time-lapse and record your whole creative process as you arrange your design!
